Filming has officially been completed on ‘Kids’, and what an adventure it’s been! Everyone, cast and crew, from runners, to makeup, to extras, to lead actress, has worked so hard, and it’s really paid off. It’s been a tricky run at times, with long hours, many takes and plenty of coffee, but everyone has put in endless amounts of effort.
It’s a massive relief to say we’re now in the post-production stage. We hope to have the film finished by the end of September, at which point the submissions to festivals will begin, and the film is looking to be released in cinemas and online by the end of 2016. We have an article coming very soon in Devon and Cornwall Film (www.devon-cornwall-film.co.uk), as well as a number of other national magazines and websites. In the meantime, make sure you’ve all liked the Facebook page (www.facebook.com/kidsfilm2015), and more updates, photos and trailers will be shared via Twitter, @pastelspro, and the website, www.pastelsproductions.com/kids.
Now, future productions? As previously mentioned, pre-production is fully underway on Nowhere Place, once again produced by Simeon Costello and directed by Tommy Gillard. It’s a coming of age drama about two friends, played by Finn Morley-Welch and Alex Pearn, set against the beautiful yet eery backdrop of Dartmoor. Shooting begins soon, and you can find out all about this film through Twitter (@moorhollow), Facebook (www.facebook.com/NowherePlaceFilm), and the webpage (www.pastelsproductions.com/nowhere-place).
